OOTD | Striped Linen

Petite friendly striped, linen dress for warm summer day | petitely packaged
Hi Lovelies,
Another day, another cup of tea to get the day started, although it’s time for me to run to Harris Teeter and pick some for up. Remember when I was asking “Where Is Summer?” well it’s arrived and almost 100°F (38°C). When it gets that hot it’s time to pull out the breathable material aka linen.

Those of you who follow me on Tumblr will recall me asking about white linen dresses. Well, I was asking for Damola, but I decided to check out your recommendations for myself and picked up a couple of items. The Gap family (Banana Republic, Gap, and Old Navy) all had great selections and this loose-fitting frock came from Old Navy.

It stops right above my knee making it completely appropriate for work yet something you could possible wear out for drink and brunch on weekend depending on how you dress it up or down. To be a bit more conservative I work my infamous nude flats and this boyfriend cardigan from to bring out dark coral stripes surrounded by the sea of blue. To match with my flats, I donned my mini reversible tote

What I like about this dress is that when I went to a showing of Conjuring 2 with my cousins that afternoon I swapped my cardigan for a denim jacket and the nude flats for black sandals. The denim jacket was perfect because slipped my sunnies and wallet into the inside pockets during the movie.
Just when I thought I was done with pictures for this look,  I remembered I hadn’t snapped any of my wallets, yet I still forget to include the denim jacket (eye roll). You all already know I’m a fan of crossbodys, wristlets, and clutches in the summer because you can grab and go and this wallet meets my standards. It’s a medium sized Coach wallet in Coral made of Saffiano leather from two seasons ago. It’s small enough to fit in my hand yet large enough to hold my iPhone 6, earbuds, Chubby Stick, cards, and ID. The wristlet I normally carry during the school year has been all but ditched it.

If you’re looking for something light to wear I suggest you drop by Old Navy to pick up one of these dresses, because I see a lot of hot days in our future. Plus the various colours allows for limitless accessory options.

Until Next Time,
